Google confirmed an upcoming search ranking algorithm created to rank websites based on the user experience of that particular website or page. It just means if the user experience of your webpage is not good, your pages will no longer be ranked on top.The new page experience algorithm won’t be live till 2021. 

The same Google confirmed through its Google Webmasters Twitter handle 

and Aleyda Solis (Internal SEO consultant) says

Webpage experience is how a user experiences the page when he/she visits, You can improve your webpage experience by optimizing your mobile version of page, loading speed, easy navigation, security, unique and relevant content.  

Core Web Vitals 

Core Web Vitals are google’s factors that provide unique guidance for pages by giving scores which are important to provide a great user experience.  

You can optimize your page experience by using these tools 

These tools will help you to know 

  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
  • First Input Delay (FID)
  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)

To help developers in finding issues, resolving those to improve page experience Google has made changes to its developer tools such as Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights. Google even updated the search console and started showing core web vitals on enhancements. 

Conclusion 

Google is trying to improve user engagements of websites by providing all the core vitals, and this page experience algorithm is not going to live today but in 2021, Meantime you can optimize your website and ensure your website core vitals and experience are great.
